The long-chain alkylammonium salt n-octylammonium bromide (OABr; CAS Number: 14846-47-0) is used as perovskite precursor in the preparation of perovskite optoelectronic devices (Duong et al., 2022). n-octylammonium bromide was used in combination with guanidinium bromide as passivation agents resulting in enhanced power conversion efficiency in perovskite solar cells (Mozaffari et al., 2022).
