Methylammonium Iodide (MAI; CAS No: 14965-49-2) is a widely used precursor in the preparation of perovskite-based devices, particularly perovskite solar cells. The effectiveness of organolead halide perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 as a photoactive material in solar cells was first demonstrated by Kojima et al. in 2009, leading to extensive research on methylammonium lead triiodide perovskites and their optoelectronic properties. Recently, Methylammonium Iodide combined with Formamidinium Iodide and Phenethylammonium Iodide was used to fabricate a highly efficient, all-perovskite, two-terminal tandem device (Jiang et al., 2022).
